Tutoring is organised help provided for students. We would like to make inclusion into the university environment easier for new students, provide counselling, and help with study and other issues new students might encounter. Consequently, every freshman is provided with a tutor.
Since there are more than 150 active tutors at the Faculty of Arts, we require coordinators to efficiently run the programme. Each department has its own departmental coordinator for tutors-students, whose job is also to oversee tutors' work.
The following positions are active at the Faculty level:
The aim of the tutoring system at the Faculty of Arts is to create conditions for:

Student tutoring is a form of help in which senior students provide guidance to their colleagues in dilemmas related to student everyday life and studies. They provide help with solving potential problems, as well as with questions and dilemmas that arise during study.
Coordinator for Tutors-Students: Anika Logar
Coordinator of tutors for Students with Special Needs: MAŠA PUPAHER

The tutors are Slovene students interested in foreign cultures and languages who volunteer to help out exchange students while they are studying at our faculty.
Tutors are expected to do the following:
The tutors also organize various social events and a one day trip to different parts of Slovenia each semester.
All exchange students nominated to study at the Faculty of Arts will be contacted by the tutor assigned to them (contact will be initiated via the email address stated in the Application Form). If you do not wish to have a tutor, please let him or her know and keep in mind that they are expecting a reply from you in any case. Please take into consideration that your tutor is also a student, has limited or no use of a car, and has exams and other obligations of their own, so they might not always be available to pick you up or meet with you when you wish. They will, however, do their best to make your exchange in Slovenia as pleasant as possible.
You are welcome to join our Facebook group!
If you are not contacted by a tutor at least one week prior to your arrival, please send an email to sara.pavlovic.72@gmail.com.

PROJEKT TUTORJEV ZA ŠTUDENTE S POSEBNIMI POTREBAMI (april 2014)
