Cities in Between: Urban Dynamics in the Medieval Mediterranean World

You are cordially invited to the International Symposium Cities in Between: Urban Dynamics in the Medieval Mediterranean World May 6–8, 2026, Koper / Capodistria, Gravisi-Buttorai Palace (Ulica Osvobodilne fronte 10, Koper / Via Fronte di liberazione 10, Capodistria).

The symposium is organized by: 

• ICCHS, the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ljubljana (as part of the Urban Morphology of Koper in the late Middle Ages project, J6-50188, co-funded by ARIS, Public Agency for Scientific Resear-ch and Innovation of the Republic of Slovenia) and
• the Comunità degli Italiani di Capodistria Santorio Santorio (Italian Community Santorio Santorio Koper), 

in cooperation with Zavod za mladino, kulturo in turizem Koper (Institute for Youth, Culture, and Tourism and under the patronage of the Mayor of the Municipality of Koper.
